PhotoHunt: advertisement

This week's theme is advertisement. Here's my entry.

Here's one on the Star Ferry in Hongkong. On the opposite one can see advertisements on the rooftop of high-rise buildings.

When one can't speak the language, just point at your order shown posted in the columns or pillars inside this Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi. Just be sure what these are. :)

That's all for this week. Thank you for dropping by and have a great weekend!

Advertising is just part of the scenery now, isn't it?

I played too :)

Teena

you are so right! it's everywhere!

thanks. will visit.

so many ads everywhere..

I have always wondered, if you can't read the language and have to point, how can you possibly know what each one has in it? A puzzle we faced in Italy at a very, very tiny restaurant. We just smiled, pointed and shook our heads. It was all good, I just never knew what was really in it. My hunt is up here.

bing

yes, all over the place.

srp

that must have been quite an experience. :)

Amazing how ads come in different forms. You can see them on skyscrapers and everywhere around you.

nice take on the theme!!

That happened to me in S. Korea. I decided not to join the tour and venture on my own. Come lunch time, I looked for a place that looked cheap. Fearing I might end up being served something I couldn't eat, I jost pointed at what a lady was eating. Then I realized, baka ang mahal nung naituro ko. E puro libu-libo ang gastusan sa Korea. hehe

Yeah--advertisements--di na tayo lubayan, pati sa loob ng CR cubicle meron din..haay. :P

I actually saw a fast food type restaurant in Hongkong where patrons just point their orders at the pictures of dishes on the wall which also had the price tag. It turned out that the order taker didn't know how to speak English :)

Rachel

so true indeed. sorry i'v been very busy.

thanks for stopping by. :)

That's what I did when I was in S. Korea. Nung hindi pa rin ako siguradong pwede kong kainin yung itinuturo ko, nagturo ako ng pagkain na kinakain na ng isang customer. hehe
